Recovery Support Analyst

Full/Part Time

HCSG is a fast growing company with growth opportunities that is looking for the right candidate to handle a variety of administrative office support duties including but not limited to; Calling for information and obtaining documents and data from insurance companies and medical providers, interacting and managing relationships with examiners and payment staff, generating letters of inquiry and handling various correspondence, as well as other various recovery team support duties.

• Communicate with various insurance carriers and medical providers and their respective representatives in a professional manner (via phone, email, fax)
• Update insurance claims data in a computer-based workflow application
• Recognize and work with various types of insurance/medical forms, records and documents
• Process incoming and outgoing letters and other related correspondence
• Work with insurance companies and medical facilities to request and handle sensitive data
• Achieve quality and time-based performance standards
• Providing clerical assistance to recovery personnel including but not limited to scanning documents, coordinating mailing of correspondence and other general office support
• Process and maintain overpayment inventory

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, associate's degree preferred
• Relevant experience in an office setting, preferably in an administrative or clerical role
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Computer "friendly" (knowledge of MS Office Suite)
• Ability to effectively navigate the internet
• Resourcefulness and persistence
• Detail Oriented; Organized and able to effectively manage time
• Be a Team Player, with the ability to work well under supervision
• Have the ability to conform to vigorous data and protected information security standards
• Knowledge of medical claims handling—A Plus!
• Having a "reasonable" commute to Shelton, CT
